Pop artist Ewik AKA Eric Ryder studied under his grandmother, Ellen Karschnick, at her studio in San Bernadino from 1974 to 1980 and with local street and itinerant artists throughout San Jose from 1981 to 1995. In this period he learned to let his imagination rule the way, many of his influences come from cartoons and 60's sitcoms. This has manifested itself into the use of toys and Television in much of his art. Ewik began showcasing his pieces through grassroots channels. His work is now featured in private collections in the United States, Europe and Australia.
